Teens ages 13–18
A full-day immersive leadership experience for teens ages 13–18. Participants engage in workshops, mentorship sessions, and community challenges designed to build confidence, critical thinking, and civic responsibility.
A high-energy community gathering that brings together youth, families, and local organizations for resource sharing, entertainment, and collective action. The Community Takeover is where the neighborhood shows up for itself.
Community members seeking resources and opportunities
A curated resource and opportunity fair connecting community members with education, employment, housing, and essential services. The Access Exchange removes the friction between people and the resources they need to move forward.
Knowing where you want to go is one step. Understanding how to prepare, who to connect with, and what employers expect can help you take the next one.
Driven Over Given Inc. is developing a Southern Nevada workforce readiness initiative to help participants build practical career preparation, strengthen professional skills, and identify resources that support their next steps toward education, employment, and advancement. This initiative connects directly to our mission of removing barriers and expanding opportunity.
What the Initiative Is Designed to Address
The planned learning areas below represent the initiative's intended direction. These are not courses currently available for enrollment. Details including eligibility, schedules, locations, capacity, and any participation costs for future programming will be announced when confirmed.
Career Exploration and Direction
Help participants identify interests, strengths, and potential career paths. Introduce ways to research roles, understand entry requirements, and connect education or training choices to career goals.
Resumes and Job Applications
Introduce the fundamentals of preparing a clear resume, describing transferable skills, and completing applications accurately. School projects, volunteering, extracurricular activities, and prior work can all demonstrate relevant experience.
Interview Preparation
Explore how to prepare for an interview, explain experience, answer common questions, and ask thoughtful questions about a position. Practice interviews and feedback are proposed activities, subject to the final program design.
Professional Communication
Address professional introductions, workplace email, active listening, respectful communication, and appropriate follow-up. Clear communication supports relationships with supervisors, coworkers, customers, and community contacts.
Workplace Expectations and Durable Skills
Introduce reliability, punctuality, teamwork, accountability, adaptability, problem-solving, and responding constructively to feedback. These skills apply across different roles and industries.
Financial Readiness
Introduce practical financial topics connected to entering the workforce, such as understanding a paycheck, creating a basic budget, and planning for work-related expenses. Presented as general education, without promising financial outcomes.
Leadership and Personal Responsibility
Explore goal-setting, initiative, decision-making, and following through on commitments. Leadership can begin before someone holds a formal title.
Building a Practical Next-Step Plan
Help participants identify realistic actions they can take next, such as improving a resume, researching training, preparing for an interview, or contacting a relevant resource.
Who Can Express Interest
The January 9 community introduction welcomes high school students, college-bound students, college students, adults, families, and community organizations.
Interest gathered at the event will help inform future participant groups and follow-up opportunities. Eligibility, age requirements, schedules, locations, capacity, and any participation costs for future programming will be announced when confirmed. Attending the introduction does not guarantee a place in a future program.
The Introduction Is the Starting Point.
The Turning Access Into Opportunity™ Southern Nevada Community Introduction & Partnership Launch takes place on January 9, 2027, from 3:00–5:00 PM. This free event will introduce the initiative, connect interested residents and organizations, and gather interest for future programming.
Admission to this introductory event is free. The full curriculum is not delivered during these two hours.
Community Partnership Opportunities
Organizations are invited to explore potential contributions such as sharing resources, providing career perspectives, supporting practice activities, or helping participants identify relevant next steps. These are opportunities to explore. No employers, mentors, or service providers have made commitments at this time.
